For our transgressions are multiplied before You [O Lord], and our sins testify against us; for our iniquities, we know and recognize them [as]; Rebelling against and denying the Lord, turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving in and muttering and moaning from the heart words of falsehood. Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far off; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness cannot enter. Yes, truth is lacking, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. And the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice. God sees and God knows all! It's our faith and persistence in the Lord, that will get us where we need to be! So don't give up, keep trusting, keep holding on! This peace Jesus is referring to, is that peace, that comes from heaven, that peace that quiets your soul, that keeps your heart and mind at rest [undisturbed], as you trust in Him, as you wait upon the Lord to act, to move in your favor on your behalf.. This peace is a supernatural peace, it's divine, it's heavenly! Hell can be breaking out all around, but within you, there is a stillness, a soundness, a quietness, that speaks louder then the noise. And it says to your soul, all is well, with my soul, it is well, it is well, with my soul, and God is in control! O somebody give Him praise right now! For He is good and His mercy endures forever!
